Connecting With Your Purpose – Quick Quiz

Here is a quick quiz to help you to focus on where you are right now.

Question mark

Begin by taking a couple of deep breaths. Now say each of the seven statements out loud and tune into how true it feels for you. You can give each statement a score on a scale of 0 – 10, (where 10 is completely true and 0 not at all) or try muscle testing and see what result you get.

  1. I jump out of bed in the mornings – life is wonderful!

  2. I love my job/business, I feel valued and appreciated!

  3. I am “in the flow”, full of joy that I am making a significant contribution to life!

  4. I face life’s challenges with calm and equanimity.

  5. I feel grateful for everything I have in my life.

  6. I have a sense of personal fulfillment.

  7. I feel a deep sense of spiritual connection with the universe.

How did you do? It gives you a sense of where you are, doesn’t it?

So, what’s next? Why not take a look at Step One – Go Within & Connect with Your Higher Self?

What is your “Higher Self”?

The part of you that wants the best for you. Your inner guidance – your soul. It knows your purpose – it is giving you nudges and hints all the time. If you don’t listen, it will keep on hinting and nudging until you do take notice – maybe through illness which forces you to stop and take stock of what you’re doing.

How do you connect with it?

There are many ways you can connect with your inner guidance. These include:

  • meditation
  • exploring your own story
  • developing your relationship with nature
  • considering the importance of sound & music
  •  creating a sacred space and developing a personal ritual.

Here is a link to a guided meditation. I call it “Connecting Heaven & Earth”. It’s not quite 20 minutes long and you are welcome to listen to it here on the site or you can download it and save it on your phone or tablet.

Just remember NOT to listen to it while driving – I usually find it’s helpful to close my eyes when meditating, so definitely not a good idea if you’re doing anything else.

Finding time for meditation can be a challenge, especially if you are working full-time. I found getting up 15 minutes earlier and sitting quietly for maybe only 5 minutes was enough to put a different feeling on my day. Try it!
